232: Math Centers: What Activities Should You Include?

ou been wondering how to get started with your math centers?

This is a quick and simple episode breaking down everything you need to know about math centers and what activities to include in them.

I get a lot of questions about how to run math centers, what goes into each center, and what they look like in the classroom, so I’m here to answer all those questions in one place.

I love using centers for math not only because they are fun and engaging but because they allow me to spend time on guided math instruction. Hopefully, some of my enthusiasm for math centers rubs off on you, and by the end of this episode, you love them as much as I do!

Math Centers: What Activities Should You Include?

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • Why centers are perfect for math
  • What goes into a center
  • Getting messy with math
  • Making math fun for your students
  • How to integrate face time with students in a flexible way
  • Giving more power to your students
  • Using open-ended questions to adapt to different students
  • Activity ideas for different types of centers

I hope that this gives you some fresh ideas for math centers. I want to give you permission to make your own rules. Make rules that work for you and your kids. All of our classrooms look different, so I love teaching you methods that you can use to adapt to your needs.
