I know we’re all looking forward to the end of the school year, but are you setting yourself up for success for when you come back in the fall?

In this episode, we are talking about some of the best ways that you can close down your classroom at the end of the school year.

I think that June is the perfect time to start planning and prepping to close down your classroom in a way that sets you up for success when it is back-to-school season, and I promise that if you do some of the things that I recommend in the episode, you will thank yourself in August and September!

From how you store items to getting new supplies and setting up your classroom, there are so many ways that you can get prepared and have your students help you!

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • Why you should invest in some stackable plastic storage containers
  • How to label your storage
  • How to prevent your shelves from getting dusty over the break
  • What to keep up and takedown
  • Starting the new school year with a fresh canvas
  • Planning the layout of your classroom
  • Activities to have your students help with takedown
  • Sorting through classroom books
  • Refreshing your bulletin boards

I know there’s a lot that goes into closing down a classroom and setting it back up in the new year, but there are things you can do to make it easier.

The best part is that you don’t have to do it all alone! Get your students involved. You can plan activities around this that they will love to do with you.
