Setting Up Your Teaching Timetable

Do you have your schedule ready to go for the fall? Do you use a teaching timetable?

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably already thinking about what your schedule is going to look like.

If you’re lucky enough to have already been given your schedule by your principal, I have some tools to help you figure out what each of your periods is going to look like.

In this episode, I am walking you through the process that I follow to plan out the subjects in my schedule according to the time requirements that we have for each subject.

By the end of this episode, you will know how to plan out your week to make sure that you are fitting everything into your teaching schedule with the help of a teaching timetable.

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • How to plan out your schedule
  • Why I use a spreadsheet
  • Making your schedule as consistent as possible
  • An easy way to play around with your schedule
  • How to be strategic about planning your schedule
  • Turning your spreadsheet into a printable schedule for students
  • How to format your schedule to be practical but also visually appealing

I hope this episode shows you how easy it can be to get your schedule ready to go. It’s important to me that my schedule makes sense and works for me, and this method allows me to make that happen.
