It’s time to start getting ready for back-to-school season!
I want to talk about what it means to get your classroom back-to-school ready and how to make it manageable and realistic in the time you have. I know that you don’t want to spend half of August prepping for September, so I want to help you make it simple.
We’re talking about things like arranging your space, decorating without going over the top, making resources accessible, and so much more.
What do you do to get your classroom ready for a new school year? If you need some ideas, this episode is for you.
In Today’s Episode We Discuss:
- Getting familiar with your classroom space
- How to plan your desk arrangements
- Why you might want to measure your space
- Organizing traffic patterns in your classroom
- Reducing how much work you take home with you
- Why most of my bulletin boards are empty at the beginning of the school year
- Color coding subjects
- Why you need a system for pencils
- Making resources and supplies accessible
There’s a lot to think about when you’re getting ready to go back to school, so I hope this episode helps you narrow down what you need to do to prep your classroom space.
Don’t forget that you can always change things later in the year if they’re not working for you. Some things are trial and error and that’s okay!
