Ignited Teaching is the umbrella name for our Ignited® suite of products.  Its membership-based platform gives access to one or all three full-year teaching programs: Ignited Literacy 2.0, Ignited Math, and Ignited Lessons Club. You can join a single subject, choose the full bundle, or purchase individual units à la carte.

Each program includes structured, ready-to-use lessons aligned with Canadian curriculum (including updated Ontario and Alberta standards), plus assessments, teacher guides, and editable resources.

Our A La Carte option is just like buying on our ML store or on TPT

Great question—and an important one. While we do offer à la carte options both on TPT and in our Madly Learning store, those purchases are fundamentally different from becoming a member of Ignited Teaching.

When you buy on TPT or through our store:

• You get a downloadable file of that specific unit.

• You’ll receive corrections if errors are found (e.g., a typo on page 12).

• But you won’t receive future updates, new versions, or curriculum-based rewrites.

• If your province changes curriculum (like switching from “pulleys and gears” to “machines and mechanisms”), you would need to purchase the new unit separately.

• You also don’t get access to any lesson library, community, or planning support.

By contrast, Ignited Teaching memberships are designed to evolve with you:

• You get access to the full program library, including ongoing updates, rewritten versions (like Ignited Literacy 2.0), and new content.

• If you change grades, need to differentiate, or want to use an alternate level, you already have access—no repurchasing required.

• You’re supported with a roadmap, scope and sequence, community, and expert guidance—not just a file.

In short: À la carte gives you a product. Membership gives you a system.

You’re not alone—many teachers using Ignited Teaching have complex, non-traditional teaching schedules or learner profiles. That’s why our programs are built to be flexible, adaptable, and supportive in a range of teaching contexts:

I only have 60 minutes a day for Language (e.g., FI English blocks)

Ignited Literacy 2.0 includes a clear weekly schedule with modular components. You can adjust the pacing and focus on the most essential elements to fit within your 60-minute English block. Many FI teachers successfully use it to deliver consistent, high-quality instruction in reduced time.

My students are well below grade level

Our membership gives you access to multiple grade bands, allowing you to start below grade level and scaffold upward. You can select tasks, texts, and writing assignments that meet students where they are—then build toward grade-level expectations at a pace that works.

I teach a split grade

Every program includes built-in support for split grades. You’ll find cross-grade alignment notes and leveled activities that let you teach common concepts while still meeting distinct curriculum expectations.

I have lots of ESL students

Our resources incorporate universal design strategies, visual supports, scaffolded instructions, and alternate tasks that help ESL students engage with grade-level material. You can also access lower-grade texts and simplified versions to support language acquisition.

If you’ve previously purchased a program like Ignited Literacy, Ignited Math, or a Science/Social Studies bundle—thank you! You’ll always retain access to everything you bought, and there’s no pressure to upgrade if your current resources continue to meet your needs.

It’s important to know that your original purchase includes lifetime access to the program in the version you bought. In this case, “lifetime” means for as long as that version of the program continues to be supported and offered, rather than the lifetime of your teaching career or the entire Ignited catalogue. You’ll also receive minor updates to maintain the integrity of your files, such as minor curriculum tweaks or corrections. Major revisions—such as complete rewrites, new editions, or significant additions—are not included automatically. These larger revisions occur infrequently (often every 5+ years) and require substantial development, which is why it is not sustainable to offer them for free forever; they are now only part of our membership model.

Upgrading to a membership unlocks a whole new level of support and flexibility, especially if:

• You need access to multiple grade levels for split classes, changing assignments, or differentiation
• You want to teach with fully updated or completely rewritten content as education standards evolve
• You prefer ongoing access to future revisions, bonus content, and new additions as soon as they’re released
• You’re teaching a new grade and want everything in one place without repurchasing
