It's summer, why should I use this time to talk about math

We are half way through the summer and hopefully you have had lots of time to rest and relax. Here’s the thing: over the next month, you will start to think about going back to school and get those dreaded back-to-school scaries. We want to help you enjoy the rest of the summer by helping you plan what your math will look like now so you don’t worry about it in a month. Summer is a great time to learn new things, and better then when you are stressed with all the directions you get pulled in throughout the year.

How do I enter the contests?

When the video goes live, the links will work. Then, you will need to watch the video. In the video, I will give you a trigger word. Click the link to enter the secret word in the form, and you will be entered to win. We will draw a name from the eligible entries to pick a winner for the prize. The winner will be asked to DM us to claim their prize.

Should I spiral my math instruction

The simple answer… is more effective than traditional textbook units. Spiralling might be new to you but it is an effective teaching strategy supported by provincial ministries of education.
